1.Your data, your choice
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), you are the Data Principal: the person the data is about. KrishiJob (a brand of Ravasaa India) is the Data Fiduciary responsible for it. This page explains your rights and how to use them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.
We collect only the personal data needed for the purpose we tell you about, use it only for that purpose, and keep it only as long as needed.
2.Your rights
- Right to access information — ask for a summary of the personal data we process about you, the processing we do, and the names of others we have shared it with (such as employers you applied to and our service providers), with a description of what was shared.
- Right to correction and completion — have inaccurate or misleading data corrected, incomplete data completed, and out-of-date data updated.
- Right to erasure — have your personal data deleted once it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, as easily as you gave it (see section 4).
- Right to grievance redressal — have your complaints about how we handle your data heard and resolved by our Grievance Officer.
- Right to nominate — name another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to do so.
3.How to make a request
Do it yourself: you can view and update most of your details, such as your profile, resume, education and job preferences, at any time from your account, and delete your account from Account settings.
Ask us: for anything else, email [email protected] from your registered email address (or raise a ticket from your account) with:
- Your name, account type and registered email address or mobile number
- The right you want to use (for example access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent or nomination)
- Any details that help us act on it — for example, what needs correcting
We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, to protect your data from anyone pretending to be you. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours and respond within 15 days. There is no charge for making a request.
To nominate someone, write to us with the nominee's name and contact details and their relationship to you. You can change the nominee at any time.
4.Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by:
- Unsubscribing from the newsletter, or pausing or deleting job alerts from your account
- Withdrawing a job application, or removing details or files from your profile
- Deleting your account from Account settings (see Deleting your account)
- Writing to [email protected] to withdraw consent for any other processing
Once you withdraw consent, we will stop processing that data (and ask our service providers to stop) within a reasonable time, unless the law requires or permits us to continue. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it. Some services cannot be provided without certain data — for example, we cannot send your application to an employer without your profile — and we will tell you if this is the case.
5.Deleting your account
Candidates can delete their account at any time from Account settings → Delete account, confirming with their password. Other account types, or anyone who can't sign in, can write to [email protected] from their registered email address.
An Ask Expert question an expert is working on, or a session about to start, has to be completed first. Account settings lists anything that is left and lets you settle most of it there: closing an answered question, cancelling a question no expert has accepted yet or a session at least 24 hours before it starts, and saying whether a past session took place (if the expert didn't join, it is refunded automatically). A refund we owe you never holds you back: it is paid to your original payment method after your account is deleted too (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy).
When you delete your account:
- You are signed out on every device, and your profile is removed from the Platform at once: it is no longer visible to recruiters, institutes, experts or other users
- Your active job applications are withdrawn, upcoming interviews are cancelled and job alerts stop
- You have 14 days to change your mind: sign in before then and your account is restored (withdrawn applications stay withdrawn)
- After 14 days your account is deleted: it is removed from the Platform and kept on our systems, seen only by KrishiJob's administrators (for example to answer a later enquiry or meet a legal obligation; see the retention table below). To have your personal data erased, write to [email protected]
- Employer reviews and expert ratings you published stay, without your name
- Copies of applications or resumes already shared with an employer stay with that employer; please contact them directly to ask for deletion
6.How long we keep data
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Account and profile details, resumes, saved jobs and job alerts | While your account is active. 14 days after you delete your account (sign in before then to restore it), it is removed from the Platform and kept on our systems, seen only by KrishiJob's administrators. Write to us to have it erased. |
| Registration details: your name, email address and mobile number | Kept securely with your deleted account, seen only by KrishiJob's administrators: at least 180 days, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require. Write to us to have them erased after that. |
| Job applications | While your account is active. Copies already shared with an employer you applied to are held by that employer, under its own responsibility. |
| Ask Expert questions, answers and session records | While your account is active. After you delete your account they are no longer shown on the Platform and are kept on our systems with the payment records below. |
| Payment, invoice and refund records | As long as tax and accounting laws require (generally up to 8 years), even after your account is closed. |
| Reviews and ratings you published (of employers and experts) | Stay on the company's or expert's page after your account is deleted, without your name. |
| Records of the terms and disclaimers you accepted | As long as we may need to show your consent, including after your account is deleted. |
| Support tickets and contact form messages | Up to 3 years after the ticket or enquiry is closed, to handle follow-ups and disputes. |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe. |
| Security and access logs | At least 1 year, as required by law, and then deleted. |
| Sign-in cookies | Up to 7 days, or until you log out. See our Cookie Policy. |
When a retention period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous so it can no longer identify you. Backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
7.Children and persons with disability
Accounts are for users aged 18 or above. A person under 18 may use the Platform only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who gives verifiable consent on their behalf and can exercise these rights for them. The same applies to a lawful guardian acting for a person with a disability. We do not track or monitor children's behaviour or show them targeted advertising.
8.Your duties
The DPDP Act also asks Data Principals to give authentic information, not to impersonate anyone, not to suppress material information, and not to file false or frivolous complaints. Please keep your details accurate and up to date.
9.Grievance Officer
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data or your request, please contact our Grievance Officer first:
Raj Kiran Gupta, Grievance Officer, KrishiJob
Ravasaa India, Jagadhri, Haryana
Email: [email protected]
We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
10.Complaint to the Data Protection Board of India
If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, or we do not respond within the time stated above, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, set up under the DPDP Act, in the manner it prescribes.
Please note
The law asks you to first raise your grievance with us. We will always try to resolve it quickly and fairly.
